Your Own Personal Jesus

One common trait of the more vocal Christians in the US these days is the belief in a personal intervening deity. You see this every time some sport team wins some big game. You see this whenever something positive happens to the believer or their friends. You see this whenever something negative happens to those the believer dislikes. Well the Christians are wrong....and right.

See my personal intervening god doesn't like yours much.

This is simply an object lesson to point out that when you or your pastor or your deacon start providing explanations of god's favor or disfavor based on shit that happens, well what you get is shit. Its an easy game to play, I just did, but no one wins. Unless you consider masturbating your own ego to feel superior to everyone else a win. I mean you can just blog to do that.
